The Location in Kensington will allow you to walk to: National History Museum (South Kensington) 100's of interactive exhibits including Dinosaurs, Creepy-Crawlies and Human Biology. Don't miss the 'earthquake experience' and if you are visiting with children there is an exciting new hands-on science centre. The Natural History Museum is a great day out and, what's more, entry is FREE!! Science Museum (South Kensington) The Science Museum was founded in 1857 with objects shown at the Great Exhibition held in the Crystal Palace. Today the Museum is world renowned for its historic collections, awe-inspiring galleries and inspirational exhibitions. This is a jaw dropping place to bring kids with incredible exhibitions and collections that are sure to inspire all the family. Knightsbridge has the world famous Harrods Department Store and Harvey Nichols selling luxury brands.

Leicester Square is a short tube journey. Packed with restaurants, cinemas, ice cream parlours, shops, arcades, clubs and bars it is the heart of London nightlife.

For shopping, King’s Road (Sloane square station) has gorgeous boutiques and high street labels and relatively affordable prices.
Knightsbridge has the world famous Harrods Department Store and Harvey Nichols selling luxury brands, there are also high street names and up market shops.
A short walk from Green Park station finds you amidst exclusive designer boutiques. Covent Gardens and Oxford Street are two stops in the tube, both selling affordable and fashionable clothes.

A short tube journey to Westminster takes you to The Houses of Parliament, the principal residence of the Kings of England from the mid-lith century until the early l6th century. The Houses of Parliament are best viewed from a Thames River cruise and at night the lighting is just amazing - prepare to be wowed! Big Ben is also nearby which is the Clock Tower of the Houses of Parliament in London. Nearby is Westminster Abbey, world-famous as the setting for coronations and other great pageants, and the resting place of Britain’s monarchs. The building is a Gothic masterpiece, with a mix of architectural styles of the thirteenth to sixteenth centuries.

A short tube journey to London Bridge and you arrive at the London Dungeons, a museum of simulated horror from history, recalling events of atrocities from the past. You can journey back to the darker side of European history. With over forty exhibits it is not recommended for those of a nervous disposition or unaccompanied children. You can experience walking down a Victorian street to unravel the terrible truth about Jack the Ripper or see how terrible punishments were carried out such as beheading, boiling or drowning.

Tower Bridge is one of the most recognized bridges in the world, defining the London skyline from the river. Designed by Sir Horace Jones and engineered by Sir John Wolfe-Barry, the construction of the Tower Bridge began in 1886.

Other famous London attractions are easy to get to; just hop on the tube and you can easily travel to their nearest tube station.

Directions Getting Here by Air - It is an easy journey from London Heathrow to Waterloo, as the local tube (subway) service runs directly from the airport. It is only a 6 min walk to the apartment from the station. From other London airports (Gatwick, Stansted, Luton or City airports), you can take the train into the centre of London and make a short tube or taxi journey to the apartment. We will send you full directions when you book. We can also arrange for a car to collect you from the airport. Prices start at £45 from Heathrow. If you have any questions about the apartment, the local area or London in general, please get in touch by email or phone.

Extra service available for extra cost - Tea, coffee, fresh milk and sugar will be in the apartment when you arrive. If you would like us to supply any other groceries, e.g. breakfast cereal, croissants, bread, butter, fruit juice, or the ingredients for a late-night snack, please let us know what you would like when you book. If you stay for more than a week, the price includes a weekly cleaner and a change of bed and bath linen. You can gain access to the apartment at 2pm on the first day of your stay. If you plan to arrive earlier, please let us know and, if the property is ready, you will be able to move in at an earlier time. If it is not ready, there is a secure place for you to leave luggage. On the day of departure, please leave before 10am. This can sometimes be extended by arrangement.
